Romania Regions
Romania is divided into nine regions see the map.- Crisana region
- Maramures region
- Bucovina region
- Banat region
- Oltenia region
- Transilvania region
- Moldova region
- Muntenia region
- Dobrogea region
Each region is divided in a different number of counties, so:
- Crisana is divided into two counties - Bihor and Arad
- Maramures is divided into two counties - Satu-Mare and Maramures.
- Bucovina is divided into two counties - Suceava and Botosani.
- Banat is divided into two counties - Timis and Caras-Severin.
- Oltenia is divided into five counties - Gorj, Mehedinti, Valcea, Dolj and Olt.
- Transilvania is divided into ten counties - Salaj, Bistrita Nasaud, Cluj, Mures, Harghita, Hunedoara, Alba, Sibiu, Brasov and Covasna.
- Moldova is divided into six counties - Neamt, Iasi, Bacau, Vaslui, Vrancea and Galati.
- Muntenia is divided into ten counties - Arges, Prahova, Buzau, Dambovita, Ilfov, Ialomita, Braila, Teleorman, Giurgiu, Calarasi and Bucharest municipality.
- Dobrogea is divided into two counties - Constanta and Tulcea.
