County in Romania - Dambovita county
Dambovita county is situated to the West of the Meridional Carphatians, in the central southern part of Romania. Dambovita county took name from Dambovita river which cross the county, from north to south. Dambovita county is situated on the upper valleys of rivers and Dambovita, Ialomita, and on the river Arges. Dambovita county has an outstanding natural environment, characterized in particular zonalitatea altitudinilor, ranging from plain to the peaks Omu (2504 m), and Leaota (2133 m). Bucegi and Leaota mountains offer a large variety of landscapes: like caves: Ialomicioara, gorges such as: Tataru and Za(noaga. Here are found the chalets: Padina, Bolboci, Zanoaga, Scropoasa and Pestera. Targoviste is the residence of Dambovita county.
